BLOCKED

When the sixth chakra is blocked, you lose your connection with your inner wisdom. You may feel lost or adrift. The imbalance is mostly likely to present itself physically within the brain and eyes. You may also feel stuck in the day-to-day. Without the guidance of your inner wisdom, you may be unable to look beyond immediate problems and your own opinions. When you are thus out of balance, you may have difficulty seeing the bigger picture.  You may feel mentally, foggy, anxious, or depressed. The same is often true when it is too open; being too open to the energy of others can have a similar exhausting effect. You need to be careful and selective about the energy you allow in, and allow your third eye to rest.

OPEN

When the third eye chakra is in balance, you are able to tune into and trust your intuition and imagination. You see your life with clarity, self-awareness, and emotional balance. You trust your inner knowledge, which allows you make balanced decisions. You are open to different perspectives and able to receive wisdom from beyond the senses of sight, touch, sound, taste, and hearing.

Goals for the month:

Listen to the sound frequency for the third eye chakra and meditate using the affirmations. 

When meditating, repeat the seed word OM or the word AJNA and use the mudra for the third eye chakra. 

Light a purple or indigo candle, use the scents of sage and patchouli, and carry a deep blue stone. 

Childs pose, dolphin's pose, eagle pose. Anoint your third eye with oils.

Go to a sound bath or meditation class! Use that sacred time to ground yourself completely in the present.

Listen to you intuition this month. Pay attention to your instincts and trust yourself. Each morning, visualize opening your third eye, or visualize a deep indigo flower blooming behind your forehead. Ask for an increase in perceptiveness and connection to the spirit world. Write down in your journal things you feel, as well as what you remember from your dreams. Get in tune with your subconscious mind.  

If you feel overwhelmed or exhausted, make sure you also take the time to give your third eye a rest. You don't want it to be blocked, but you can visualize a bright blue light in your forehead dimming down to a soft glow. You could even put up a protective mental shield until you feel less overwhelmed by the energy around you. (This is all very "woo-woo", but third eye is all about visualizations and the way your internal world interacts with your outer reality; so lean into it!)
