Important but icky.

I have been reading I am not a Serial Killer by Dan Wells, and it prompted me to look up the wiki sites for a few serial killers it talks about, out of curiosity. It was totally freaky and horrible, but I happened to find this video of Ted Bundy's final interview, and it was so fascinating to me what he said. I think it is important that people see this video, all the way through, because what he says is so important.

As disturbing and horrific as it is, people should know that what leads many men to this kind of violence is pornography. Pornography is increasingly common and even accepted by people- why??  It is not just dangerous in that it tears apart souls and families, but it spurs disgusting violent acts and turns women into objects in the minds of men. Pornography is an actual addiction, and it prompts dark thought and evil actions by turning women into nothing more than a form of recreation, objects instead of people.

I hate writing this because I hate thinking about this. But I want to say that while Bundy says that we can't escape pornography in our homes, I don't believe this. This world can be scary and horrible, but our homes can be full of safety and peace if we are close to the spirit and fill our homes with righteous priesthood power, and listen to the council of the prophets.

I know it's horrible to think about this man and what he did, because his crimes were so unbelievably sickening. But I think it's important to see what he said in the final hours of his life about what brought him to that point. I hope it will help people be more aware and more careful.

And that's enough of that.
